KCRF Fairy House Contest Submission

This is my submission for the Kansas City Renaissance Festival Fairy House contest. It will be displayed in an outdoor gallery for the next couple months (through the 2024 season and for Knights of Lights).

I wanted to do something different from their standard submissions, so I went for a “Baba Yaga” inspired fairy house. The whole house is under a foot (12 inches) tall and stands freely on it’s own two legs. It’s made primarily out of popsicle sticks with a bit of wire and elements that I had laying around my office. This project cost me $0 to make, but I put in about 3 days worth of work off an on… so if I had to total it out it was about a 13 hour build.
